She has had intensive training in regular and special education to further her skills to help the Latino Community make connections in government and education. Matty works to provide early intervention as a multicultural consultant for Hispanic families and children with and without disabilities. She is the first Hispanic woman lobbyist for the North Carolina General Assembly for educational issues.
